The production unit of Creta Farms, in Rethymno, was the first stop of the Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, during his tour in the prefecture of Rethymnon.
The visit took place on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 and the Minister was accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Rethymno, Giannis Kefalogiannis, the Member of Parliament for the Dodecanese, Manos Konsolas, and the Member of Parliament for Fokida, Giannis Bougas.
During the visit, the delegation, headed by the Minister, was guided by the strategic investor of Creta Farms, Dimitris Vintzilaios, to the state-of-the-art facilities and the vertical production unit of Creta Farms in Rethymno, as the largest producer of pork in Greece. .
The specific unit of the company is a model for the production of meat products in the country, ensuring the production of pure, high quality and taste products while protecting the environment through the adoption of a green policy for integrated waste management.
As part of the total investment of 5.5 million euros by the new shareholder of the company, the facilities of Creta Farms in Rethymnon were upgraded with the addition of new technologies and production capabilities. This is an investment that aims at the further development of the company in the Greek market as well as the strengthening of exports. It is noted that Creta Farms currently employs a total of 656 employees, which are the most important asset of the company.
