The President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou visited the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Center “Bereginia” and talked with Ukrainian students, who arrived in our country after the start of the war. A total of 34 children aged 6 to 16 attend Ukrainian classes, some days of the week.
Immediately afterwards, Mrs. Sakellaropoulou stated the following:
“In the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Center” Bereginia “I met Ukrainian students who, after experiencing the terror of the bombing and the violent uprooting from their homes, found safe refuge in Greece and continue school in our country. “We have to show our practical solidarity with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. First of all, to the children, the first victims of this war, who need our full material and psychological support for as long as their homeland is being tested.”
