Few things represent Brazil as well as a good feijoada, especially on summer Saturdays.
The good news is that Vista Ibirapuera will offer January 13th, 20th and 27th from 12pm to 4pm, the project Chef's Feijoada & Chorinho which combines three great São Paulo passions: feijoada, good live instrumental music and one of the most iconic views of the city, Ibirapuera Park, seen from the rooftop of the MAC building.
Chef Pedro Oliveira's recipe, which includes smoked ribs, Calabrian sausage, pork feet, knees and ears, belly, sun-dried meat and arrives at the table accompanied by rice, cabbage, orange, farofa and vinaigrette (R$ 99), will be served to the sound of the Quartet in C Machado, with Mario Machado on clarinet, Bruno Vieira on seven-string guitar, Paulo Novais on mandolin and Tico Macambira on percussion.
To drink, it's worth trying the cocktails signed by mixologist Jairo Gama, which also have a strong Brazilian accent, such as the Jack Açaí, with Jack Daniel's, açaí and passion fruit puree (R$49), and the Jabuti Royale, which combines gin Tanqueray Royale, jabuticaba puree, tangerine juice, honey, basil, rosemary and jabuticaba powder (R$44).
