Vital Signs: Science studies mediums and hits in letters from Chico Xavier

Science is increasingly interested in studying spirituality, with research exploring the neuroscience of religion.

Science and spirituality are often seen as opposite concepts. However, this week’s CNN Vital Signs shows that this is not so. The program presented by Dr. Roberto Kalil receipt Alexander Moreira Almeida Professor of Psychiatry at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, along with the teacher of psychiatry Wagner Gattaz from the University of São Paulo.

An innovative study conducted by Brazilian researchers revealed significant genetic differences between medium and non -mediums, shedding new light on the phenomenon of mediumship. The research, conducted by teachers Alexander Moreira Almeida and Wagner Gattaz, analyzed the full exoma of approximately 60 recognized mediums and their non -medium brothers.

Mediumship is studied as a phenomenon that can be investigated by science, seeking rational explanations based on observations.

A study on the letters of the Brazilian medium Chico Xavier for example, it demonstrated a high rate of reckoning in information that would be unlikely to have access by conventional means.

Francisco Cândido Xavier, the “Chico Xavier”, was a medium and one of the most important exponents of Brazilian spiritualism. He lived in Minas Gerais from 1910 to 2002.

The conclusion is that science seeks to understand and integrate spiritual experiences without naive acceptance or dogmatic denial.
