Vitalik Buterin advises Elon Musk to switch to Linux

On February 25, 2024, billionaire and owner of social network X (formerly Twitter) Elon Musk publicly announced problems with access to Windows OS. He said he couldn't log in without a Microsoft account.

“If I create an account, Microsoft's AI will have access to my computer. This is just terrible,” Musk said.

In the comments to the publication, some users wrotethat Windows OS can still be used without creating a profile. The billionaire replied that even in this case, the process of starting a computer should not be so difficult.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin later joined the discussion. He suggested that Elon Musk switch to Linux OS and evaluate its advantages.

Linux is an open source operating system introduced in 1991. Each user of this OS can make changes and improvements to the software package.

Subsequently, user opinions were divided. Some followers praised Buterin for promoting open source software, while others said Linux was not the best choice for Elon Musk.
