Buterin retained the post of developer ETH under the pseudonym Binji, who said:
Binji explained the absence of interruptions in the work of the ETH blockchain with its decentralization. Millions of members of the crypto community, among which were programmers, steakers and other network users, are scattered all over the world, as well as validators, on every day, confirming transactions and adding new blocks every day.
Centralized platforms, for example, networks of banks, are regularly disconnected for maintenance and cannot avoid this, because they are controlled by one structure. And no one controls the Ethereum’s blockchain, and it belongs to all the people who find him application.
