The exact purpose of Buterin’s donation is unknown, but it can be assumed that he approves of the organization’s actions. The 2077 Collective thanked Buterina for her support and promised to continue working to increase the attractiveness of the network.
This is not the first time Vitalik Buterin has shown generosity. In May, he donated 30 ETH, which was valued at $113,000 at the time, to a fund to support the founders of the crypto mixer Tornado Cash, Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm. A few years ago, Buterin sold his SHIB, AKITA, and ELON memecoins for 15,719 ETH and donated the proceeds to several charities.
