Vitalik Buterin: “I’m not a billionaire anymore”

Ethereum co-founder and one of the most influential figures in the cryptocurrency industry, Vitalik Buterin, said that in light of the fall of the cryptocurrency market, he can no longer be considered a billionaire.

Buterin declared about it on the social network Twitter. He responded to a tweet from user ne0liberal about messages from Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. Buterin emphasized that “communicating with the people” has never been any special advantage. Although he noted that he respects Elon and Jeff for a direct conversation with subscribers. A little later, he wrote that he should not be considered a billionaire.

“By the way, I’m not a billionaire anymore,” Buterin wrote.

The cryptocurrency community did not fail to support the “founding father” of the second cryptocurrency. Many have written that with the rise of the cryptocurrency market, Buterin’s status as a billionaire will also be restored. The co-founder of Ethereum has repeatedly said that he is not interested in enrichment. He donated 50 trillion SHIB to a charitable foundation last year. However, the market was not ready for such a volume of tokens.
