Vitalik Buterin: Meme-thonets on the Solana network are racist

According to the co-founder of Ethereum, meme tokens are becoming a problem, and it is worth thinking about how to put these digital coins to better use.

Memcoins have become one of the main topics of discussion, the co-founder of Ethereum announced, adding: there is nothing new or interesting about memcoins:

“Many coins on the Solana network are simply racist. Even regular memcoins often rise and fall in value without having any value.”

Vitalik Buterin suggests looking at this asset class from a different angle. Popular digital coins can be used to raise funds for charities. As an example, the co-founder of Ethereum cited the Fable of the Dragon (TYRANT) memecoin, the developers of which support public projects – for example, research into ways to combat the aging of the human body.

However, Vitalik Buterin admits, creating memcoins for charitable purposes does not guarantee fundraising. Option: use meme tokens in the gaming industry.

The co-founder of Ethereum is confident that if you create it, it will not be just another coin, but a whole game that will be interesting and useful for users in terms of increasing their financial wealth.

Earlier, Vitalik Buterin admitted that memcoins, which he donated to charity, increased in price contrary to his own forecasts.
