The co -founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin is concerned about the appearance of “political tokens”, since the memcoirs launched by influential politicians can become mechanisms for uncontrolled bribery.

Buterin noted that memeen tokens from influential politicians cross ethical boundaries – this is not just a source of entertainment where voluntary participants can be at risk of loss of funds. According to Butaterin, this is a means for unlimited political bribery, including from foreign states.

“Now the most influential people in the world approve of the idea of creating tokens for anything, on any scale,” wrote Buterin on the social network Kh.

He also pointed out the problems of regulating cryptocurrencies, which, in his opinion, was facilitated by the former chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Gary Gensler. It was he who created such a regime in which tokens, which give investors a clear idea of their rights and sources of revenue, are “securities”, while “control tokens covered with fog” are outside suspicion. According to Butaterin, Hensler perverted the motives for creating crypto assets, and this is the main reason why he should not be considered a hero, even among cryptoquartics.

Last year, the co -founder of the Ethereum criticized the memcoids produced by celebrities, saying that such tokens do not benefit the public. In the fall, Buterin sold 10 billion Moodeng tokens for a charity donation.
