MediaTek today officially unveiled its latest flagship mobile platform, Dimensity 9000, which is manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process technology.
Now it became known that smartphones based on this single-chip system are already being prepared for release by Vivo, Realme, Xiaomi, Oppo, Samsung, Motorola and OnePlus. However, there is no information yet on which of these manufacturers will be the first.
Earlier, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group China and General Manager of the Redmi brand, published in his blog information that the company’s new smartphone will be built on the Dimensity 9000 mobile platform. He asked fans what they expect from the Redmi smartphone on based on the Dimensity 9000 SoC, confirming that it will be the most affordable phone on this platform.
The Dimensity 9000 includes a 3.05GHz Cortex-X2 core, three 2.85GHz A710 cores and four A510 cores. Official data from MediaTek show that the Dimensity 9000 has a 35% performance improvement over its predecessor and a 37% increase in energy efficiency. The Dimensity 9000 uses the latest GPU Arm Mali-G710, which is 35% faster and 60% more energy efficient than its predecessor.
An unknown smartphone powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 scored 1,007,396 points in the AnTuTu test app, setting a new record.
