Vivo, Redmi and Oppo are the new kings of the Chinese smartphone market. Xiaomi and Huawei barely hit the top five

According to a recent ranking by Master Lu, Vivo, Redmi and Oppo are the new kings of the Chinese smartphone market. The shares of Vivo, Redmi and Oppo are 19.76%, 18.74% and 14.55%, respectively: together, these three brands occupied more than 50% of the local market.

According to Master Lu, Vivo smartphones were the most popular Android devices in China in the first half of this year. Vivo’s rapid growth is attributed to a wide range of devices at a variety of price points.

The second place by a small margin is occupied by Redmi, which, after gaining independence from Xiaomi, continues to strengthen its position, allowing Xiaomi to actively explore the premium model market. In this regard, more and more expensive Xiaomi smartphones appear on the market every year.

Due to US sanctions, Huawei’s market share continues to decline, but it ranks fourth with a score of 12.99%, while Xiaomi was in fifth place, taking only 9.21% of the Chinese smartphone market.

After gaining independence from Huawei, Honor is still only seventh with a score of 5.21%, behind Realme, which took 6.64% of the market.
