Hollywood actor Steven Seagal was awarded a state award by the Russian PresidentVladimir Putin. The award was the Russian President’s award to the actor for his international humanitarian and cultural work, according to a state decree published on Monday.
The decree, according to a report by Reuters, the 70-year-old star of action films such as the film “Under Siege” was awarded the Order of Friendship of Russia, while there was no immediate reaction from the actor, who also has Russian citizenship.
The decree mentioned his work Seagal as a special representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia for humanitarian relations with the United States and Japan.
It is recalled that Steven Seagal, who was born in the USA, has worked in Japan and has admired Putin for years, from whom he received a Russian passport in 2016.
