THE MTV announced, this Monday (12), the first confirmed names among the musical attractions of the VMA (Video Music Awards) 2024 . They will perform at the event, which takes place in September 11th the artists Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla and Rauw Alejandro .
Sabrina Carpenter will make her VMA main stage debut this year, after having performed “Feather” and “Nonsense” at the pre-VMA event in 2023. Also nominated for the first time, Sabrina is up for a total of six categories, including Best Artist and Best Song of the Year.
The singer Camila Cabello will return to the MTV stage performing for the third time, to perform their fourth studio album, “C, XOXO”. Chapell Roan, GloRilla and Raulw Alejandro also promise to bring their new projects to the awards stage. More names should be confirmed soon.
The awards ceremony, which is one of the biggest in the music industry, will take place in New York, United States.
Voting for nominees is open to the public and is available at official website of the award until August 30th. For the New Artist category, voting can be done until the date of the official ceremony. The event will be broadcast live in more than 150 countries.
