Vocalist of the band The 1975 puts slime videos during speech to attract GenZ’s attention

During a performance in Texas, United States, the singer of the band The 1975, Matty Healy, gave a long speech about his canceled show in Malaysia after Matt kissed the bassist and criticized the government’s anti-LGBTQIAP+ laws.

Due to the protest, The 1975’s performance in the Asian country had only seven songs – and the artists were banned from there.

To get the audience to pay attention to their speech – which lasted around 10 minutes – the band decided to use videos of slimes and cell phone games to capture the attention, especially of younger people.

The behavior of using videos of this style to attract attention is already seen on social networks, such as Tiktok and Instagram, and even in company presentations.
