A local resident recorded the moment when a Voepass plane with 62 people on board crashed in Vinhedo, in the interior of São Paulo, on Friday (9). The man was recording a video when he heard the noise and recorded the smoke caused by the fall.
The video circulating on the internet shows the man cleaning his barbecue when the noise of the aircraft becomes louder and louder. Then, the resident notices movement near his house and stops what he was doing to record the fall.
“It’s not a car, it’s not possible […] a plane is falling, damn… the smoke there”, said Eleuano Jacaranda. “I was hearing a loud noise there and I didn’t know what it was”. In the recording, it is possible to see that it was raining at the time of the fall.
In contact with CNN Eleuano stated that he lives in the area that is about five minutes away from the plane crash. “It is at the back of my house, and from the balcony of my house I could see exactly the moment the plane fell right here at the height of our house.”
