The Volkswagen Group continues its electric “raid” after the completion of the first quarter. It managed to increase deliveries of purely electric vehicles by 65% on an annual basis.
Despite the supply of semiconductors and cables, 99,100 electric vehicles were delivered to customers by the end of March, up from 60,000 in the first quarter of last year.
The largest increase was in China, where 28,800 customers received a purely electric vehicle manufactured by a group of brands, followed by Europe with 58,400 vehicles (market share 59%).
By the end of March, the Volkswagen brand delivered 53,400 BEV to customers (54% share), followed by Audi with 24,200 vehicles (24% share), Porsche with 9,500 (10% share), Skoda with 8,800 (9% share) ) and Seat / Cupra with 2,200 (2% share).
