The German automaker Volkswagen has demonstrated an electric sedan ID. Aero, which is an evolutionary continuation of the 2018 ID Vizzion. This is a concept close to the series, built on the MEB platform, the production of which will be launched next year.
According to the edition “Motor”, ID. Aero received a streamlined body with a low drag coefficient (0.23), a 77 kWh battery, and a range of more than 600 km. Another feature of the car is the absence of traditional door handles. Instead, they installed touch strips with backlight.

ID. Aero has an interesting coloration. Its roof is black, and the main body is painted in light blue metallic. Thanks to a special pigment, a golden shimmer is created in certain lighting conditions. There are traditional honeycomb design elements at the front where the grille is, and at the back where the headlights are.
Serial Volkswagen ID. Aero will start production in the second half of 2023 for the Chinese and European markets. It is expected that the five-door electric sedan will receive the ID.7 index, which means it will be the flagship of the family.
