Volkswagen has announced the withdrawal of the popular Passat model from the Russian market. This decision, according to representatives of the German brand, was dictated by the market situation.
Volkswagen is withdrawing the current generation Passat from production and starting February 24, 2022, it will no longer accept orders for this model. True, this only applies to the sedan version of the Volkswagen Passat. But the off-road version of the model – Passat Alltrack – will continue to be produced and sold on the Russian market.

The brand decided to remove the Volkswagen Passat from the lineup due to declining sales of sedan cars from year to year. Now the trend in the market is such that buyers of new cars are increasingly opting for utility models in the SUV segment.
