Volkswagen will launch another electric vehicle this year. It will be a coupe crossover ID.5

Volkswagen General Director Ralf Brandstätter announced that this year the third electric car on the new modular MEB platform will enter the assembly line – it will be the coupe-like crossover ID.5. The car will go on sale in the second half of the year, and it will be produced at the plant in Zwickau (Germany).

Despite the new bodywork, there won’t be anything particularly new in the ID.5, as it is just a variant of the ID.4 crossover already on sale in Europe, China and North America. Accordingly, the characteristics of ID.4 and ID.5 will be approximately the same. This means that you can count on mono- and all-wheel drive versions, power 150-300 hp. and a cruising range of up to 550 km on a single charge.
