“Despite the very heavy losses they have suffered, the occupiers are continuing their quest to seize territory in the Donetsk region and consolidate their positions in the Luhansk region, as they advance to the Kharkiv region and plan something in the south”said the Ukrainian president.
The regions of Luhansk and Donetsk – which make up the industrial region of Donbass – have been the scene of heavy clashes between Ukrainian and Russian troops in recent months.
