Volodymyr Zelensky: We expect three billion euros from the EU by the end of the year

In his nightly sermon, its president Ukrainian, Volodymyr Zelenskyreferred at length to the visit of its vice president Commission, Valdis Dombrovskiswith whom they discussed financial assistance from European Union to his country.

The Ukrainian leader claimed that the Ukrainian state expects to receive three billion euros from the EU by the end of the year. “An installment of 2.5 billion in November and another 500 million in December”he pointed out.

He added that in his conversation with Dombrovskis it was also discussed the future financial aid from the EU to Ukraine, which was confirmed by the European Commission agent himself. In addition, they also discussed new sanctions against her of Russia.

Dombrovskis, after the meeting he had with Zelensky in Kyiv, visited a railway station where routes to Kherson have started in an initiative called the “Victory Train”.

As for Kherson, Zelenskiy said that efforts are being made to restore electricity to the city – as well as to all other areas that are either without power or experiencing blackouts. “Citizens, however, can charge their mobile phones. To make tea. We also have communication, since there are Starlinks”he said referring to the system developed by the billionaire’s company Elon Musk and offers Ukraine and ensures access to the internet.

This is the first mention of the service continuing to operate since Zelensky’s spat with Musk on Twitter months ago, when the latter appeared pro-Russia.

As for the developments on the battlefield Zelensky stated: “Ukrainian forces have repelled around 100 attacks in the eastern region of Donetsk, with no let-up in fighting. Heavy fighting continues in the Donetsk region. There is no recession. There was no respite.”

All day long, the energy staff worked to restore the normal technical possibility of electricity supply, as a result today there are already significantly fewer emergency shutdowns. As of the evening, in most regions where shutdowns continue, stabilization hourly schedules were in effect. Emergency shutdowns were used to a greater extent in the Odesa region and Kyiv. The difficult situation with energy supply persists in a total of 17 regions and in the capital. Kyiv region and Kyiv, it’s very difficult in the Odesa region, and also the Vinnytsia region and Ternopil region. Special “Points of Invincibility” were opened in Kherson today. The first two points. There will be more. While electricity is restored in the city, people can charge their phones, stay warm, drink tea and get help. We have provided communication service there, there are “Starlinks”, etc. We know that it is very difficult for people, because the occupiers destroyed everything before fleeing. But we will connect everything, restore everything. 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
