Volodymyr Zelensky: When Russian Executives Tried to Kill Him in the Early Hours of the Invasion

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refused to leave Kyiv when Russian executors tried to break into the building where he was staying. according to Time magazine.

Adviser to the President Oleksiv Arestovich told the magazine that he was urged to flee to a safe place away from Kyiv as the building was unsafe and there was an increased risk of sniper fire or grenade fire.

In Volodymyr Zelensky and his assistants gave him to wear a bulletproof vest and weapons, but not all of them knew how to use them, the post says, according to Sky News.

“It was utter madness. Automatic weapons for everyone. The space was wide open. “We did not even have concrete blocks to block the road,” Arestovic said.

He also revealed that Zelensky’s wife and children were still in the compound when the Russians twice tried to invade the building on February 24.

The president refused to leave, while his family was moved to a safer location. The second night he shot a video to show his family that he was still in Kyiv.

Arestovic also said that Zelenski made a trip to the front line in early March, taking only a small security team.
