European Commission President Ursula von der Laien has appealed to the Hungarian authorities to allow the pride to be held in Budapest following a ban imposed by police. Responding through X, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban wrote that the Commission should stop intervening in law enforcement cases, where “it has no role”. Last week, Hungarian Police banned the LOATKI+community scheduled for Saturday, citing a law passed in March that the protection of children should prevail over the right to concentrate.
