Von der Leyen says AstraZeneca will deliver 9 million more doses of the vaccine

In good news at the start of a new month, Ursula Von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, tweeted on Sunday that AstraZeneca to begin deliveries of its COVID-19 vaccine a week earlier than expected.

The EU president added that the Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical company will deliver nine million more doses of its vaccine to the Union in the first quarter of this year, making a total of 40 million for this period.
