“World leaders have strongly supported Ukraine. We will further tighten our sanctions against Russia and step up financial and security assistance to Ukraine. Thank you, US President, for convening this important communication.
“We are on the side of Ukraine,” Ursula von der Leyen said in a Twitter post.

The EU will develop the Solidarity Fund for Ukraine for immediate support and reconstruction of a democratic country, European Council President Charles Michel said on Twitter after a teleconference convened by US President Joe Biden.
