Vucic – Macron meeting on Rafale, nuclear energy, EU membership and the Kosovo issue

Aleksandar Vucic visited France and met with Emmanuel Macron, discussing a range of issues including the Rafale acquisition, nuclear energy deals, his country's EU membership and the Kosovo issue. The Serbian president said that his French counterpart assured him that there is no “fatigue” in the EU from enlargement and pointed out to him that the integration of the Western Balkans is a realistic prospect. According to ERT, for the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, Vucic informed President Macron that Serbia started to implement the European plan, however, on the other hand, the basic condition, which was the establishment of the Union of Municipalities with a Serbian majority, was not met. Of particular interest were the conversations about the equipment.
