W Costa Navarino welcomes its first guests

W Costa Navarino welcomes its first guests today, the first W Hotels hotel in Greece, a member of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio. The new W Escape brings a distinct energy to Navarino Waterfront, the new development area of ​​Costa Navarino and gives rise to creativity, diversity and freedom of expression, enriching the experience of the destination. W Costa Navarino – which is exclusively for adults and teenagers aged 12 and over – is located on 130 hectares of beachfront, along a 450 meter stretch of sandy beach overlooking the historic Gulf of Navarino.

Design that combines local tradition with modern trends

The architectural design of W Costa Navarino is the work of the Alexandros N. Topazis Study Office, drawing inspiration from the traditional architecture of the area, with its cobbled paths and stone towers. Local materials star in a timeless design that blends harmoniously with lush vegetation and planted roofs, following Costa Navarino’s sustainable development practices.

The interior design of the rooms, where the natural tones with accents of bright colors are the star, highlights the heritage of Greek craftsmanship. In the rooms, common areas and Platía – the meeting point of the resort – a modern approach to traditional techniques dominates, with the design having the signature of MKV Design office, based in London.

The offices Topazi and K-Studio jointly designed the beach club Parelía and Platía, a modern version of the traditional square of a Messinian village, while the office K-Studio also designed the interior spaces in Parelía. The interior design of the restaurant-bar Between was undertaken by the Interior Design Laboratorium office.

The impressive W symbol-totem that characterizes the entrance of every W hotel around the world, at W Costa Navarino is inspired by the region and by Greek tradition, and has been created from the hulls of old fishing boats, also paying tribute to the Greek navy.

Meeting point for music and the arts

The strong personality of W Hotels is reflected in the music that guests will have the opportunity to enjoy, with sounds from funky house, hot disco and afro-house to tribal and neo-soul. The first W Escape in Greece will host international and Greek artists every year, starting this year with: Alex Nude, Valeron & Band, together with a group of stable collaborators, such as: Rie Kiriiaka, DJ Montana Cruz and Vassilis Georgakopoulos.

Contemporary art has a strong presence throughout the W Costa Navarino. Its creation and curation has been undertaken by Poka-Yio, visual artist and exhibition curator, in collaboration with a group of young and emerging artists and students of the 12th Workshop, LAB12, of the Academy of Fine Arts (ASKT). With an emphasis on inclusion, the collection is a platform of escape and exploration, representative of the new hospitality experience proposed by W Costa Navarino.

Beach Front Dining & Mixology

W Costa Navarino presents a multitude of culinary proposals. The W Lounge is located in the heart of the hotel and is the ideal spot for all hours, with a magnificent view of the sunset. The internationally influenced menu will be accompanied by aperitifs, spritzers, zero-waste cocktails and drinks inspired by the region.

Platía is the modern approach to an outdoor market, full of life. It is the meeting point for every moment of the day, offering breakfast, coffee and relaxed dinners in four areas, which follow the “grab ‘n go” logic. The Café is the ideal place for coffee lovers, with freshly ground and rare varieties, as well as fresh juices and various snacks. The Deli Store serves a selection of cured meats, cheeses and local items. In addition, the Bakery offers daily handmade pastries and the Cookery features an open kitchen for breakfast, which in the afternoon hosts pop-up concepts and celebrity chefs .

Between will offer cool cocktails and light meals that will highlight the purity of flavors and aromas. Accompanied by DJ music, Between creates the perfect setting for a cocktail with a view of the sunset.

Parelía aims to be the hotspot of W Costa Navarino. At the beach club, dishes of modern Greek and Mediterranean cuisine will be served, along with original cocktails. During the day, live music and DJ sets with music such as Electro House, NuJazz and Fusion will gradually transform Parelía from a place ideal for relaxation, to a place for exciting nights full of energy and dancing.

Wellness and rejuvenation

The AWAY® Spa offers a variety of signature treatments for rejuvenation, while the FIT gym features a 25-meter heated outdoor pool and the latest sports equipment.
