Wagner’s founder denies any involvement of the organization in the brutal execution of one of its members in Ukraine

Its head Russian mercenary group Wagner denied today any involvement in violent execution of an alleged member of the organizationwhich accused of desertion in Ukrainebut since he had initially greeted her.

The case began with the release of a video, posted on social media by accounts close to Wagner, showing 55-year-old Yevgeny Nuzin. In September Nuzin had declared that he had switched sides in the war and in the video it states that he was hit on the head while walking in Kyiv and, after losing consciousness, woke up in a cellar.

However, as he was a prisoner of war of the Ukrainians it is not clear how he could walk freely in Kyiv.

The video, as reported by APE-MPE, begins with Nuzin describing how went to the front as a member of Wagner, after enlisting in August. He added that he now intended to switch sides and “fight against the Russians”but was captured by the Ukrainians.

After being attacked on November 11 in Kyiv, he woke up in a cellar, where the video was filmed.

Then an unknown man he is seen attacking Nuzin with a sledgehammer, knocking him to the ground and eventually killing him.

In his first message published on Sunday the founder of Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhina Kremlin-connected businessman, said Nuzin had “betrayed his people and their comrades,” adding that the video should have been titled: “Death a dog deserves.”

But in a new announcement today Prigozhin denied any involvement of Wagner in the executionstating that the American secret services are responsible for it.

“This is part of the tactics of US intelligence services, which kidnap people, including Russian citizens, all over the world,” he commented, calling on Russian prosecutors to open an investigation into the case.

“Wagner workers are distinguished by their exceptional discipline and strict respect for international norms and rules of conduct that are universally accepted,” added the 61-year-old Prigozhin.
