The title stars Fernanda Torres It is Selton Mello and features special participation by Fernanda Montenegro . The production marks the third partnership between Salles and Torres, who were together in “Foreign Land” (1995) and “The first day” (1998), and Montenegro’s reunion with the director, with whom he worked on the award-winning “Central Brazil“ (1998).
“I’m still here” marks Walter Salles’ third appearance at the world’s oldest film festival. He was in Italy in 2001 for the premiere of “Shattered April” and returned eight years later, in 2009, to receive the Robert Bresson Lifetime Achievement Award.
