War in Israel: “Hezbollah’s entry into Gaza conflict disastrous for Lebanon,” says Netanyahu

The Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned her today Hezbollah against opening a second one war front with Israelstating that if this happens, will bring about Israeli retaliatory strikes of ‘unimaginable’ magnitude, wreaking ‘devastation’ on Lebanon.

In an official transcript of Netanyahu’s briefing to Israeli special forces men near the border with Lebanon, he said:I cannot tell you now whether Hezbollah will decide to enter the Gaza war fully».

This war began after a devastating border attack by Hamas on October 7, while it is a matter of “life or death” for Israel, Netanyahu added.

In a joint press conference with Sunak, the Israeli prime minister said that “This is a battle of Western civilization, the battle of the free world, the battle for the future. We have two forces here. One is the axis of evil, led by Iran through Hezbollah, Hamas and others, who want to return the Middle East to the Middle Ages, to a time of slavery and war, slavery and annihilation.»

He added that “And the other forces – the forces of progress and humanity – that want to push the Middle East into a world of peace and prosperity. We are on the threshold of extending that peace – and the destruction of that movement was one of the reasons why this action was taken.

We must resist and win. Above all we must win. We must release the hostagesNetanyahu said.

The Israeli prime minister also said the war will be long, adding that while there will be “ups and downs,” the people of Israel have never been more united.
