War in Israel: Israeli army asks for information on hostages with leaflets

The Israeli army today fired rockets at Gaza Strip, in which he invites its residents to communicate to him, for a financial fee, any information they may have about the Israeli hostages held by the Hamas, Agence France-Presse found. AFP journalists saw these missiles, which were dropped by Israeli aircraft and which ended up on the ground in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

“If you want one better future for you and your children, do yourself a favor and send us safe and useful information about the abductees who may be in your zone,” the flyers read in Arabic. “THE Israeli army promises you to do everything to preserve the safety of you and your homes, as well as a financial reward,” the flyer adds. “We guarantee you complete discretion”.

In the document there is a phone number and addresses on the messaging apps Telegram, Whatsapp and Signal, through which anyone can contact the Israeli armed forces to provide any information regarding the hostages.

The Israeli military did not immediately respond to an AFP inquiry about the flyers. About 220 hostages, Israelis, foreigners or with dual citizenship, were kidnapped by its armed men Hamas during a bloody attack that took place on October 7 on Israeli soil and claimed the lives of more than 1,400 people, most of them civilians.

Since then the Israeli army has been pounding the Gaza Strip controlled by the Islamist Palestinian movement in retaliation. Hamas announced yesterday that 5,000 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the war.
