A 12-year-old received an unexpected answer pupil from Britain, as he had sent a letter to Volodymyr Zelensky referring to the “best president”, but without waiting for a response.
As reported by bbc.comis 12-year-old Thomas, a student at Durham Trinity School and Sports College, who sent the letter along with supplies he collected with his classmates for war in Ukraine.
According to the British publication, the answer was written in Englishwith date Saturday 23 April and bears the signature of Volodymyr Zelensky.
«We could not believe it when the letter arrived, the staff of our office opened it, addressed to “Thomas at the Trinity School” and asked teachers and students if they knew anything, as we did not expect anything from Ukraine. “It’s a very personal response from Zelensky who thanks Thomas for his thoughts, saying he hopes to bring peace to all the people of Ukraine and how they will rebuild the cities, and hearing the support of the United Kingdom has brought a smile to his face.” , characteristically stated o school teacher, Robin Handen.
In fact, the letter of the Ukrainian president was among 270 parcels with medical suppliesclothes, food, toiletries and four wheelchairs donated by students of the special school, which helps young people with additional learning needs.
