War in Ukraine: 3,343 civilians flee besieged cities, says Kyiv

The leader of the Donetsk separatists claims that he is in Mariupol

The leader of one of the two self-proclaimed “democracies” of pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine announced today that he had arrived in Mariupol, a city besieged by the Russian army for weeks, to oversee the distribution of humanitarian aid to the population.

A video released by the Donetsk “Ministry of Information” shows Dennis Pushilin visiting a “humanitarian aid center” set up by the Russian army in a hangar. Dozens of people receive food.
