War in Ukraine: A year has passed since the massacre in Kramatorsk with 61 civilians dead

A year has passed since the Russian attack on the Kramatorsk railway station at the beginning of the war in Ukraine. It was one of the deadliest Russian raids against civilians in the war, which has been raging since February 24, 2022.

On April 8, 2022 Russian Totchka-U missile armed with cluster munitions kills 61 people and injures 160 others as they gathertrying to escape through the Kramatorsk railway station, 43 days after the war broke out in Ukraine (24.02.202).

Today one year after the massacre, the people of Kramatorsk laid flowers at the memorial in the central railway station of the city of Donbass.

It was one of the deadliest Russian attacks on civilians in the war in Ukraine.

Moscow has denied involvement in the attack.

Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said on social media that “Russian terrorists are responsible for the attack” and that “war criminals must be punished.”
