Sanctions against Russia are increasing, after the turn of Canada and announced that it would close its airspace to Russian aircraft, on the occasion of the invasion in Ukraine. The decision is coming following relevant actions by several European statesas Moscow has not stopped the offensive.
According to the French Agency, the Minister of Transport Omar Algabra In a Twitter post, he announced that Canada had closed its airspace, a decision that has immediate effect.
“We will hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked attacks on Ukraine,” the Canadian minister wrote in a tweet.
Effective immediately, Canada’s airspace is closed to all Russian aircraft operators. We will hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked attacks against Ukraine.

Now, with many countries closing or announcing that they will close their airspace (Baltic countries, Poland, Czech republic, Bulgaria, Germany…) Russian planes face a huge no-fly zone in Europe.
