War in Ukraine: Czech Republic sends tanks – Poland buys tanks from US

THE Czech republic announced that it is stepping up aid to Kyiv with new military equipment, while the Poland will buy tanks from Washington on the occasion of war in Ukraineto be protected by Russia.

According to Reuters, Prague announced that it provides to Ukraine military assistance amounting to almost 1 billion kroner ($ 45 million), while sending tanks T-72 and BVP-1 armored personnel carriers.

In fact, the Czech state radio broadcast the mission, posting videos on Twitter of a train loaded with five tanks and five armored personnel carriers. According to the radio and television network, the mission was one gift agreed with NATO allies. Nevertheless, the Minister of Defense Yana Chernotsova told Parliament he would not confirm or deny details of Czech aid to Ukraine.

“I can only assure you that the Czech Republic… is helping Ukraine as much as it can and will continue to help (supply) military equipment, light and heavy,” he said.

Poland is strengthening its army

Warsaw, following the latest developments in Ukraine and the agreement with the US on the deployment of 5,000 US troops in the country, 250 Abrams tanks.

According to Reuters, the Polish Minister of Defense reports Marius Blazac said the deal to buy Abrams was worth about $ 4.75 billion and that the first of these tanks would be delivered this year.
