In his evening sermon to him Ukrainian people, the president of the country Volodymyr Zelenskystood by the courage shown by the citizens of the country on 43 days resisting the Russian invaders.
“This war has revealed many truths about our country, Russia and the world in general. “This war has shown that some people did not want to believe what was happening in our country and believed in foreign propaganda and Russian… myths about Ukraine, not in reality.”stressed Zelenski and continued:
“We have always been like that, brave. The most courageous in the world. Because who else could do what the Ukrainians are doing? Who else would have the courage to constantly fight against tyranny and defend freedom? In every electoral process, in every revolution, in every war. Who else would have the courage to fight the Russians on land, sea and sky? Who else would have the courage to go unarmed against Russian tanks? Who else would have the courage to tell the world that hypocrisy is a bad weapon? And not only to say, but also to convince and restore honesty to the whole world? “Who else would have the courage to persuade the biggest multinationals to forget the numbers and think about ethics?”.
He then spoke about politicians, saying: “(Who else) could teach political leaders – whoever they are – to be a little Ukrainian, a little braver. “That means being Ukrainian,” he said. We will spread our courage and show the world how to be brave like us Ukrainians. “.
Zelensky then called for new sanctions against Russia to end the war, while reiterating that his country needed new weapons to stop the Russian invaders, whom he again described as “The biggest threat in the world”.
What he said about Greece and Cyprus
In the diplomatic section, Zelensky also referred to his speeches in GREECE and in Cyprus.
“I spoke to Greece and Cyprus and thanked them for their support to Ukraine and for their efforts to put pressure on Russia to bring peace again. I asked them to do more to stop the war. I asked Greece to use its influence in the European Union to save Mariupol. “I urge Cyprus to take special measures against Russia, such as abolishing ‘golden passports’ and blocking yachts and other ships sailing in its waters.”.
The situation in Borodyanka “is more horrible than Bouka”
As for the state of the military operations, Zelensky stressed that the situation in Borodyanka, a town northwest of Kiev, which was recently regained control by Ukrainian forces from Russian invaders, is “much more horrific” than in BuKa, where civilians were slaughtered.
“There are more victims. “Every crime will be investigated and every perpetrator will be found.”assured the President of Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova announced via Facebook that 26 bodies had been found by rescuers in the rubble of two bombed-out apartment buildings in Borodyanka, a town with a population of about 13,000 before the war.
He stressed that Borodyanka is “the most devastated city in the Kiev region” and expressed fears about the final death toll there.
This war shows how much everyone did not want to notice in our country. In our people. How much the world believed in foreign propaganda and Russian myths about Ukraine, not in reality. We have always been so… brave. The bravest in the world.
