War in Ukraine: “Kherson did not fall”, says Zelensky’s adviser

An adviser to the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky stated today that Russia has not occupied Khersona city in the south of the country that Moscow announced earlier that it had occupied.

Oleksiy Arestovich stated, in particular, that the battles continue for the provincial capital of about 250,000 inhabitants located at the mouth of the Dnieper River in the Black Sea, according to Reuters.

«The city has not fallen, our side is still defending“Arestovic told reporters live on the presidency’s website. “The street fights continue”, the official added, as relayed by APE BPE.

“The information that Hersonissos has fallen and so on – is not true. “Our army and the local defenders of the city are still resisting in and around the city,” he insisted.

It is reminded that Russia’s war against Ukraine continues for 7 days today, Wednesday, with estimates so far wanting a major Moscow strike to follow in the coming hours.
