Vadim Denishenko, an adviser to the Interior Ministry, explained that Russia desperately needed a military victory, citing Mariupol and Kyiv as Moscow’s most likely targets.
“They definitely need a victory before they are forced to hold the final negotiations,” Denisenko said via Facebook, according to the Athens News Agency. “So our job is to resist for 7-10 days,” he added.
