Maybe the war in Ukraine to have sown pain and death, but in these difficult times there is no lack of hope. Stories are typical two children born in the midst of conflict and bombing.
According to the Daily Mail, little Mia was the first to come to life on Friday night. Her 23-year-old mother was about to give birth these days and this finally happened at a metro station where she found protection from the hell of war. The cries from the labor pains were heard by police officers who started looking for who was shouting and why. When they found out that she was a pregnant woman, one of them, police officer Nikola Slapak, helped her give birth to little Mia.
After childbirth, both the 23-year-old mother and the newborn were taken to hospital in good health.
As expected, the news of Mia’s birth brought smiles to the Ukrainians with a woman saying characteristically “Your birth is the hope in these gloomy times”.
A baby boy was born in an underground maternity hospital
Mia was not, however, the only baby born during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as a gynecologist posted on social media photos from the birth of a little boy Friday night to Saturday in the basement of a maternity hospital.

“In conditions far from what is worth in a new life, the voice of a newborn was heard. It’s a boy!” wrote in the caption of the photos the doctor.
