The bombing of Zaporizhia has not stopped, with Russia and Ukraine to blame each other for the situation in the region.
The beginning was made on the side of Kiev, with state nuclear power company Energoatom announcing that Russian forces have bombed the nuclear power plant in the area.
“In the last 24 hours, Russian troops have again bombarded the area around the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. The process of ascertaining the damages is ongoing”Energoatom reported on Telegram.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense of Russia he in turn accused Ukrainian forces of shelling the Zaporizhia railway station three times in the past 24 hours.
The two countries accuse each other of bombings near the station, which caused fires Thursday in ash pits of a nearby coal-fired power plantresulting in Zaporizhia station to disconnect from the energy grid.
