A convoy of buses left today from Mariupol in a new attempt by Ukraineτα United Nations and International Commission of Red Cross to remove civilians from this city of southern Ukraine, said the governor of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kirilenko.
The buses are heading to the Ukrainian-controlled Zaporizhia, he said.
The governor did not specify, however, whether more people were evacuated from the Mariupol steel plant in Azovstalwhere the last defenders of the city are fighting against the Russian forces.

Sanctions on Russia’s oil exports over its invasion of Ukraine suggested by the European Commission, its officials confirmed to the German Agency yesterday Tuesday. The sixth package of EU sanctions in Moscow will ban European companies from buying Russian oil and provides for a gradual cessation of consumption by member states.
The measure will be included in the new round of sanctions expected to be announced by Brusselsafter weeks of intensive negotiations, as several of the 27 Member States objected to the impact of this decision on their economies.
