New shelling during the night in the city of Zaporizhia (southern) destroyed a high-rise apartment building and according to the first information there are injuries, the head of the local authorities in Zaporizhia announced today Ukrainian district, Oleksandr Starukh.
“Due to a missile attack on the center, another high-rise apartment building was destroyed,” Mr. Starukh said via the Telegram platform. “There are injured people,” added the governor.
The industrial city is some sixty kilometers northeast of the country’s – and Europe’s – largest nuclear power plant, which has been in possession of the Russian armed forces since the beginning of March. Kyiv and Moscow have been accusing each other of bombing the facility for months.
