The Energoatom company announced that a worker was injured when the Russian forces bombed the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant againthe largest in Europe, on Saturday night.
The site was hit by rocket attacks, Energoatom said on the Telegram messaging app.
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) expressed phis grave concerns about Friday’s bombing of Zaporizhia in Ukraine, saying that energy raises the risk of a nuclear disaster.
The Zaporizhia factory was occupied by Russian forces in the first stage of the war, but is still operated by Ukrainian technicians.
Both sides accused each other on Saturday of being involved in “nuclear terrorism”.
Energoatom blamed Russia for the damage to the plant, while the Russian Defense Ministry blamed its forces Ukrainian about the bombing, saying that a radioactive leak was avoided only by chance.
