War in Ukraine: New wave of Russian strikes – Missiles hit gas production facilities

New rocket attacks were launched on Thursday morning (17/11) in regions of Ukraine the Russians as announced by the Ukrainian authorities as a result of which gas production facilities were hit.

In Dnipro (central-eastern Ukraine), two infrastructure facilities were damaged and one person was injured, the presidency announced. In Kyiv, two cruise missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defensewhile near Odessa (southern Ukraine) infrastructure was affected, according to the respective regional authorities.

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said today’s new Russian missile attacks hit gas production facilities and a missile factory.

Rockets are currently flying over Kyiv. Now they are shelling our gas production facilities, they are shelling our businesses in Ddipro and Yuzmas (missile factory),” Shmihal said, according to the Interfax Ukraine news agency and as reported by the Athens News Agency.
