War in Ukraine: One dead and 9 injured by Russian missile strike in Kriviy Rih

Russian missile attack killed one person and injured nine others this morning in the southern Ukrainian city Chestnut Richthe regional governor there announced, while regional and military officials also announced that the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 16 of the 20 Iranian-made Shahid drones that took off overnight from Russia to carry out their fifth attack this week against the southern district of Odessa.

Kiper said a non-residential building was damaged by drone debris, but gave no further details. He reported no casualties in the Odesa region. Regional officials said Russia also fired missiles into the southeastern Zaporizhia region and the northeastern Sumy region, injuring people.

Ukrainian emergency services said two people were injured in the Sumy region and released video showing rescuers pulling an injured woman out of a hole caused by an explosion. The Ukrainian emergency services reported that the 65-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man were rescued and that the two-story building in which they lived was damaged, APE-MPE reports.

THE Russia has so far not commented on the latest attacks.
