War in Ukraine: Putin’s three conditions to stop the invasion

Russian President Vladimir Putin told today French counterpart of Emanuel Macron Calls for the recognition of Crimea as Russian territory, the “de-Nazification” of the Ukrainian government and a “neutral regime” in Kiev, as a precondition for the termination of invasion of Ukraine.

From the French side, it became known earlier that Emanuel Macron asked his Russian counterpart in the telephone communication they had Whereas for the duration of the discussions between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations the following should apply:

  • First, immediate cessation of all attacks on civilians,
  • secondly the protection of urban infrastructure and
  • thirdly, securing the roads, especially those located south of Kiev.

According to the APE – MPE, Putin asked Macron in detail:

  • recognition of Russian sovereignty over Crimea,
  • achieving the demilitarization and de-Nazification of the Ukrainian state and
  • the guarantee of its neutral status
