War in Ukraine: Russian missile attack hits infrastructure in Kyiv

For a Russian missile attack on critical infrastructure in Kyiv on Saturday morning, Ukrainian officials say, when explosions were heard in the Dnipro region.

Reuters reporters heard a series of explosions in its capital Ukrainian before air raid sirens sounded in Kyiv. Officials told residents to seek shelter.

“Missile attack against critical infrastructure facilities. Details under review”said Kirylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the office of the Ukrainian presidency.

The military command of Kyiv said that an infrastructure installation was affected, without giving any other information.

“Explosions in the Dnipro region. All services are directed to the spot. Stay in your shelters!”Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on Telegram.

He said that fragments of a rocket fell in a place without houses in the Kholosivsky district, in the western part of Kiev.
