War in Ukraine: The death toll from the attacks in Kharkov is increasing

At least ten people were killed and 35 were injured Russian bombings in a residential area in Kharkivin its second largest city Of Ukrainelocated in the northeast of the country, regional authorities announced.

In an initial report, the regional government Oleg Shinegubov had announced the death of “seven people, including a seven-month-old baby.”

Hours later, the district attorney’s office announced a death toll of 10 and 35 wounded.

“A number of apartment buildings have been damaged or destroyed,” he added, adding to the Facebook post photos of buildings and cars that were partially damaged.

Meanwhile, as envoys from several foreign media outlets reported, air raid sirens sounded again in Kyiv. Local media reported that explosions were heard in the areas of Sumi and Poltava, as well as Mykolaif. Ukrainian authorities are expecting air strikes across the country in retaliation for the sinking of the warship Moskva.
